naughty things

today ean and i were getting pretty restless around the house. dad had tons of homework, the mounds of laundry on the couch were piling up and frankly i didn't want to deal with it. so what do you do when you're avoiding laundry and need a break from apartment hunting, you go to target.

i stopped to get a latte at Starbucks before we hustled through the store, then i decided i'd buy ean his first chocolate milk. BAD IDEA. well, for two minutes he was cool, drinking through the straw, sipping away, looking at me with the cutest face... 'did you really just give me sugared, chocolate soy milk?'

yeah kid i did.

for a second i though, 'wow this is really cool, i love this age. he can drink and chill out. this is the moment i always pictured. buying pointless things at target with my main (smaller) guy.

but wait, it was too good to be true wasn't it, universe?

yeah, it was.

in less than 30 seconds his white shirt was covered in sticky crap, our cart was leaving a brown trail through the baby isle, and my caffeine kick was not kicking in it.

or wait, i don't even think we were that far, i think we were passing the cute boots when this mess started happening.

you're probably thinking, why the hell did you give him chocolate milk any way? my answer to you: because i can. because i love watching his little face experience something so naughty.

once i found some sunglasses i didn't need and we bought that candle that was on sale, we left.

drove home and took a nap. the end.

good thing we bought ean a toothbrush today.

hey, it's friday!

^^one of the 3 times ean has let me cuddle him. thank goodness i have proof.
after an incredibly long week, with Ean being in and out of the hospital, we are finally feeling better. his blood levels are back up and his terrible fever is gone. thank you, universe.

so naturally ean needed a vacation. he's spending some quality time with his grandparents, while his parents pull their lives together. I have some school work and some sleeping to do this weekend. along, with some beers to drink and apartments to view. yes, we are moving! we are viewing a couple of places this weekend, in hopes of signing a lease within the month. it's so bittersweet. we are excited to have a bit of a bigger place but i can't help of thinking of all the sweet memories we have made here. enough of that though, i don't want to jinx it!

have a great weekend!

laying low

^^from the ferry building farmer's market a couple weekends ago
well, it's finally the weekend. i feel like i say that every weekend? maybe i do. whatever. any who  i think this weekend we are laying low. Ean has been dying to ride the carousel over in Golden Gate park, so hopefully we get to do that! (which means, Ean's mama can't wait to take a picture of him riding some plastic horse that probably has a zillon germs on it. :)

speaking of germs...i scrubbed the floors last night, like bleached the crap outta them. is it weird that when i have a container of bleach in my hands i feel powerful? probably. eric came home from class last night and said it smelled like dead bodies...? i had all the windows open but good thing Ean was asleep in his closet. (yes, he sleeps in the closet. more on that later.)

have a great weekend. xo

the park scene

a couple weekends ago while hanging out at my mom's house, i decided, hey let's go to the park. hoping there was a baby swing to put Ean in, we put on his crab hat, buckled him in the smaller stroller, and walked to the park. we were let down. actually, i think i was more let down. Eric didn't care, he just likes to walk and Ean didn't even know what the heck a swing was. whatever. i went down the slide with him, he looked at me like i was nuts. maybe i shouldn't rush the whole park scene? at the same time though, i can't wait for his little cheeks to get all red from rushing all over the jungle gym. or his first little boo boo he will get from trying to attempt that slide that's way too big for him.

i should stop. i'm getting really teary eyed just thinking about it.

my baby boy is 7 months today. i can't even believe it. how the heck did it go by so fast? someone please hit the slow motion button.

but then again, don't. i'm loving every second of this little boy. Ean we love you so much.

we are off the to grocery store right now, Ean is making every one pulled pork sandwiches for his celebration. thanks, dude.

it's friday!

i may be slightly obsessed with this boy and his smiles. i mean look at that! fridays are long for eric, since he has school till 4. so ean and i usually drive around and find ourselves a park to giggle at until daddy is done. days like these make me wish i had mama friends around here.

happy weekend!

cupcake date

the other day while Ean and i were wandering down in the marina, we stumbled upon the most amazing smell. obviously we followed it, which lead us to a bakery, naturally. then we bought two, called daddy and said, "meet us at the park, we have a surprise." we wandered the dog park for a few minutes, until our favorite bicycle rider showed up. we shared a sandwich and ate our cupcakes. (which were the best cupcakes i have ever eaten in my 21 years of living.) do yourself a favor and buy TWO! strawberry and vanilla!

have a happy weekend

this weekend we are actually staying in the city for once. we usually head back to the central valley to get our family fix but not this weekend. i'm super excited to stay here, explore this city we live in. maybe my two boyfriends will take me on a date to the tea gardens. it's supposed to be sunny and in the high 60's. best. weather. ever.

here's a video of Ean in his jumper. we call it the spaceship because it sits in front of our bay windows and we can see him from every part of the house. (yeah, we live in a reaaaallllly small place, more on that later) dude looks like a pilot or something.

have a wonderful weekend, friends.

valentine's day

i just realized i never got around to posting our valentine's day pictures. we didn't do a whole lot but hey it was Ean's FIRST VALENTINE'S DAY!

i knew while pregnant with Ean i wanted to be that obnoxious mama who celebrated everything. i mean everything. the first rolling over act, the first smile, and of course all the made up holidays that most people think are silly. valentine's day being one of those, it was an excuse to buy some paper and take cute pictures. my babe was such a good sport but let's get real all the dude had to do was smile. i would be the one sewing the hearts onto card stock (yeah, i sewed them) and addressing those envelopes.

so we took some photos...

then i mailed them to 23 lucky valentines, whom Ean picked out himself. ;)

then the morning of we woke daddy up with presents...

^^^Ean picked those nibblers out himself, seriously what a thoughtful dude.

the sun came out today

today was such a beautiful day in our city. we took advantage of the sun and had a picnic at a park nearby our house. the painted ladies were across the street from us, so the view wasn't that bad either. today was a good day, i love days like these. everything seems to just be the way it should be. oh, doesn't hurt that E is wearing the cutest red pants i ever did see. ;)

spring cleaning

yesterday was a really great day. these two hung around the house and mama cleaned. even though these two are super distracting, i actually got a lot done. cleaning has always been super therapeutic to me. i can remember deciding to redecorte, rearrange, and completely transform my room in wee hours of the morning when i was little. my parents would hear hammering, which probably meant i was hanging frames or deciding that my britney spears poster should be on a different wall.

i snapped these photos yesterday in the mist of doing the 5 loads of laundry i did. these two. can i just say these are my favorite people in this whole world. i'm so lucky to have these two in my life.

laura visits our city

today we were lucky enough to have a visitor, laura came to visit! laura is eric's cousin and every time i'm around her, i count my blessings for marrying into a family i love. although she lives in Washington for school, she makes an effort every time she is home to visit our family. we sure love her visits, keep em coming! we left the boys at home while E napped and we took ourselves to this little gem, pizzeria delfina. i don't know how i have missed this place for so long, if you're here in the city, please do yourself a favor and go here.

also, can i add how much it warms me to the bone to see Ean enjoy being around people. to see him interact and grow love for other people is such an amazing thing to see. i know i'll always be around but seeing him be comfortable with other people is something i just can't explain. happy weekend everyone! stay warm!

E tries some real food

a couple days ago Ean embarked on a new journey, the journey of food. besides consuming that very delicious stuff called milk, his world was rocked when we introduced him to rice cereal (multigrain, organic, obviously...he's picky). of course i skeptical at first whether or not we should wait but the dude was showing signs he was ready. when i mean signs, i mean GRABBING at our sandwiches and giving us the death stare when we didn't allow him to take a bite. but to say i was excited is definitely an understatement. i can't wait till we can all enjoy food together. his daddy and i love trying different foods, so this babe was bound to enjoy it too, right? i'm happy to say i think our little boy does.
